About me

My name is Maya Jacobson, and I am a junior at the University of Oregon pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations, with minors in Sociology and Nonprofit Administration. I have always been drawn to storytelling and connecting with people, which is what led me to the field of public relations.

Through my coursework at the University of Oregon, I have developed skills in media relations, strategic communication, research, and brand messaging. I have also had the opportunity to apply these skills through my involvement in Chi Omega Psi Alpha Chapter, where I have held leadership positions that strengthened my communication, organization, and collaboration abilities.

Whether I am building relationships, crafting strategic messaging, or supporting mission-driven organizations, I am passionate about creating meaningful and lasting connections through communication. For this blog, I am especially excited to focus on something I have always loved, pop culture, and explore it through a public relations lens.
